BELIEFS & VALUES

WHAT WE BELIEVE

At Main Street Church, we are committed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ as the foundation of our faith and practice. We believe the Bible is the ultimate authority, inspired by God and wholly trustworthy for guiding our lives. Central to our belief is the Fourfold Gospel, which proclaims Jesus as Savior, Sanctifier, Healer, and Coming King. This understanding shapes everything we do, from worship to outreach, as we seek to live out the good news of Christ’s love and redemption in our community and beyond.

Jesus died for our sins, offering us eternal life. We believe salvation comes only through faith in Him.

Jesus purifies and transforms us, enabling us to live holy lives as we grow in His likeness.

We trust in Jesus’ power to heal—physically, mentally, and spiritually—according to His will.

We eagerly await Jesus’ return, when He will establish His eternal kingdom and make all things new.

WHAT WE VALUE

Our values are rooted in the example of the Early Church in the book of Acts, where believers lived radically for Jesus, devoted to God, one another, and the mission of making Him known. Just as they shared life together, breaking bread, praying, and supporting one another, we believe there are no solo Christians—faith is meant to be lived out in community. We are called to walk together, growing in Christ, encouraging one another, and serving as a united body to fulfill His purposes in the world.

We are committed to growing in faith and helping others do the same, becoming followers of Christ who make more disciples.

  • “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” – Matthew 28:19-20

We aim to build a church family that reflects Christ’s love, where every generation, culture, and background comes together in unity.

  • “So in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” – Romans 12:5

We believe every person matters to God and that seeking and reaching the lost is central to our mission.

  • “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” – Luke 19:10

God’s Word is our foundation, and we are committed to studying it, living by it, and teaching others to do the same.

  • “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.” – James 1:22

Prayer and worship are at the heart of everything we do, connecting us with God and aligning us with His will.

  • “Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” – Colossians 4:2
  • “God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” – John 4:24

Stewardship
We are called to manage God’s gifts—our time, talents, and resources—wisely and generously for His glory.

  • “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” – 1 Peter 4:10

Following Jesus is the greatest adventure we can experience, stepping out in faith and trusting Him to lead us into the unknown.

  • “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9
